Luxury Outlet shopping in Florence

I have reached the point where I believe there is an underground shoppers secret society and I think a member of my family is part of it. As we were planning a trip to Italy she got wind of that huge Outlet Mall just outside of Florence that had all the major brands and designers.

If you’re a professional or semi-professional shopper you will understand that this discovery brought the visit of this mall to the top of the list same as the sites we had to visit such as Florence, Pisa and Cinque Terre.

If you’re visiting from Canada the one thing that will be very frustrating for you is the personal limit of your customs declaration. Remember you’re only allowed to bring back 800$ of goods and that will drastically put a stop to your shopping.

Is there some good deals? Answer is yes but it depends what you are looking for. Remember we’re still talking premium brands such as Prada, Gucci, Burberry, Montcler and Zegna so you will save money from retail price but there’s still a price to pay for those brands.

How can you get there? From Florence there are organized bus tours that you can take but if you have a car it’s very easy to get to and they have plenty of parking. There’s also the train option but you can visit their site to have all the information.

Even if you come to Italy for the picturesque towns and history no one said you could not indulge in some shopping with big brands in one of the most influential fashion country in the world.
