Fees: 30$ per vehicule or Free with America The Beautiful Pass Parking: Yes Facilities: Yes

Before you plan to got to Death Valley look at the park’s website to see what is open. Temperature in the summer can reach 120 degrees Fahrenheits and some areas will just be closed to public.

This hike located in the Death Valley National Park, California. It’s located 4km away east from the Furnace Creek visitor center.

It is a moderate trail of 7.2km with 200m of elevation gain. Doing the trail clockwise you will get all the elevation at the beginning of your hike. It starts on flat and you should use and app or keep your eyes open to make sure not to miss the fork for Gower Gulch Loop as this will give you the best views. The trail post along the way are pretty clear but look on them to keep the proper direction to do the loop.

There were other people in the Canyon but only a few on the Gower Gulch Loop. It was a very nice hike with some beautiful views that give you a good overlook of the area. If you stopped at Zabriskie Point you saw the Canyon area from above.

I would recommend good shoes, a good hat to protect you from the sun and suntan lotion. It’s also without saying that you should always have enough water when hitting the trails. Hiking sticks is not a must but I had a walking stick that made the envy of a couple other hikers
