With the long Victoria Day weekend and summer vacation around the corner I thought I would share some of the spots I’ve discovered on my last trip to Boston.
Shopping
For a little or bigger shopping you’ll want to hit Newbury street, you will find most of the brand names on that street from Nike to Victoria’s secret. (easy way to find it is to look for the Prudential Building)
Walking
Get close to Faneuil hall on Market Street park your car and look or ask for the Freedom Trail. The Freedom trail is a marker on the sidewalk, just follow it and it will take you true the places to see. Boston Commons is also a great park to go and walk around as well as Fan Pier.
Food
One of my favorite activity, if you’re in the Faneuil hall area you just have to walk Market street and you will have lots to choose from.
Oysters: I was told one of the best place to have oysters is Neptune in Little Italy, unfortunately I showed up with out reservation and the 4 hour wait made me decide to go somewhere else. But from what I saw, if not for the wait I don’t think anybody would be disappointed.
Seafood: When it comes to seafood and i’m close to the ocean, I prefer shack kind of joints than fancier restaurants. Equiped with your plastic bib and nutcracker you will have a wide variety of lobster, crab and oysters to choose from at the Barking Crab located near Fan Pier.
Breakfast: This one is a little outside of the core area but Sofra is a great place in Cambridge for an eastern Mediterranean breakfast. Place nice and cozy and mostly known by locals.
These are just a few spots I wanted to share that made my getaway more memorable.
Interesting post.
