Quartz Vodka

Just before the holidays I received a nice care package from Domaine Pinnacle. Included in the package was a bottle of Quartz Vodka, Ungava Gin and Chic-Choc spiced Rum. I brought the bottles to different parties I was attending and get family and friends to try it and get some feedback from them. The Quartz Vodka was nice and smooth it can be drank neat, on ice or in cocktails.

Quartz Vodka is made from one of the purest water in the world the ESKA water. The only water in the world derived exclusively from an esker ( an underground source created by the retreat of Northern Quebec glacier 8000 years ago.) ESKA is naturally filtered by the Quartz present in the esker Saint Mathieu-Lac Berry. It’s sodium free and contains a very low concentration of minerals with a perfectly balance PH.

Made from a selection of superior quality grain, Quartz Vodka is micro distilled five times which insures a exceptional smooth taste. Quartz is then cryo treated and micro filtered with quartz to offer a silky taste free of impurity.

Quartz Vodka is produced in small batches and every step is calculated to maintain the highest level of production standard under the supervision of Quartz Vodka master distiller.

Everyone who tried it was surprised this was a Quebec made vodka. It is very smooth and you can drink it on ice without the overwhelming taste of alcohol. If you prefer cocktails, here’s a few recommended by Quartz but in all honesty I haven’t tried them as I prefer to have my vodka with soda. They do look pretty good and easy to make and I’m sure you can find one of your favorites in this list.

Le Montrealais

Ingredients

-1.5 oz of Quartz Vodka

-4 oz of Ginger Ale

-0.5 oz of lemon juice

-Lemon zest

-Crushed ice

How to prepare:

In a Masson jar, put crushed ice, then pour the vodka, the ginger ale and the lemon juice. Decorate with the lemon zest.

Wet Dog

Ingredients

– 1.5 oz of Quartz Vodka

– 0.5 oz of dry Vermouth

– 2 oz of grapefruit juice

– 0.5 oz of maraschino liqueur

– 2 g of fleur de sel

– Ice cubes

How to prepare:

Coat the rim of the glass with the fleur de sel. Put ice cubes in shaker and add all the ingredients. Shake vigorously and filter twice before pouring in the glass on new ice cubes.

Flute Enchantée

Ingredients

– 1 oz of Quartz Vodka

– 3 oz of sparkling wine

– 0.5 oz of lemon juice

– 0.5 oz of strawberry jam

– ice cubes

How to prepare:

Put the ice cubes int the shaker then add vodka and lemon juice. Shake and filter twice before pouring in the flute. Decorate with the strawberry jam and top off with the sparkling wine.

Quartz Cucumber

Ingredients

– 2 oz of Quartz Vodka

– 2 oz of ESKA sparkling water

– 1/4 Cucumber

– A few mint leafs

– Crushed ice

How to prepare:

In the glass, crush part of the Cucumber and 2 leafs of mints. Fill glass with crushed ice. Add the Vodka and crush the ice. Add more ice and the sparkling water, decorate with some mint leafs and a few slices of Cucumber.
