With all eyes riveted on Rio de Janeiro, come and celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Montréal Olympic Games! This key moment in our history truly ignited the sphere of sporting activity, with repercussions that are still being felt today. The OSM and Kent Nagano salute the athletes from Canada and from around the world who left their mark on the 1976 Games as well as to those who continue to inspire us today. This event also pays tribute to the 40-year history of the Olympic Park, where a number of major events have taken place over the years. The program for this evening that honours spectacular human achievements includes excerpts from Gustav Holst‘s stunning masterworkThe Planets.
