I was in Atlanta a few weeks back for a couple of days and got to try a few restaurants, one of them was Ray In The City. Located downtown on Peach Tree this restaurant offers a wide variety of fish and seafood. There was a large convention in town and making a reservation was the right choice as they were fully booked.
The place is quite nice and it also offer live music from Tuesday to Saturday. I got a seat at the bar and was impressed with their selection. Their tap was also pretty cool made out of a dive helmet.
There were several things on the menu that caught my eye but i settle for a seafood gumbo and Alaskan Halibut. The gumbo was very good and just spicy enough for my taste. I ordered the Halibut blackened and it was served with green beans and corn. The fish was excellent, it was properly cook tender and still keeping the flavour and juices.
It was a pleasant evening and they had a nice variety on their menu. Staff was also knowledgable and attentive to my needs and that is always a reason why I like to sit at the bar. Nice place to try if you’re in Atlanta it’s only a short walk from Centenial Park and the World Congress Center.
