Located in the Westmount Square building Tavern on the Square was everything I expected it to be. I had heard a lot about the place but never had a chance to try it.

The décor is very welcoming and warm with lots of wood finishes, dimmed lights and a choice or tables or banquettes. They also have a nice long bar and a great selection of drinks and wine.

I was interested in to a lot of the items on the menu but since it was my first time a friend who had been there many times suggested I tried their Mac`n Cheese.  I`m glad I listened to him cause it was just fantastic. I`m often disappointed with Mac`n Cheese as it`s often very pasty. This one was just perfect, liquid enough but not runny and you could tell it was fresh and not pre prepped and warmed up. The portion is pretty generous too as I was not able to finish the plate. They also had an interesting special on their daily menu which was a Stracitella soup. I did not misspelled the soup was cross between Stracciatella and Italian Wedding soup and it was also delicious.

Out with friends, on a date or celebrating as a group this is a great place for any occasion. I will most likely visit them again as I had a great time and very much enjoyed their food and wines.
