I had not visited their first location in Griffintown but I did recently visit them at their new location in the Old Port. If you’re familiar with the neighborhood it took over the space where Taj Mahal use to be on the corner of St-Paul and Port Royal.
The restaurant is not very big but the ambiance and decor make it very cozy. Aside from the table seating area they also have a nice bar area. The bar offers a great selection and they have a good cocktail list.
The food menu as lots of options to pick from, we were not sure what to take and were offered a butcher block for 3 that had a mix of some of the items on the menu. The wood block it came on was about 3 feet long and had steak, tuna steak, calamari and shrimps on a stick. Everything tasted great, the steak was well cooked and we had plenty of food for the group. I’m not sure if it’s always on the menu but the price was also more than reasonable for the amount and variety of food we received.
I was there during the week but I also saw that they have DJ’s on weekends and it looks like it could be a great place to spend a Friday or Saturday night. If you`re just looking for a place for dinner It’s also well located to hit any other bars or clubs in the area afterwards.
