Only a couple of weeks old Parliament a British style pub has opened up in the Old Port. On the corner of Place Youville and St-Pierre the place offers a variety of beers on tap, a food menu and, having links to the Cold Room a well-known Speakeasy, a cocktail list that you are not use to see in a pub.
The ambiance is also very relax giving you the choice of seating at the bar, high or low tables as well as a lounge area. The place does not have that many seating but since it just opened it`s not popular yet but I have a feeling it will do well.
As for the food, the menu offers a nice variety from salads to tartar, burgers and steak. I had the steak and it was good, my friend tried the burger and tartar and also thought it was good. Keep in mind we are talking pub food so that`s what I`m basing my standards on.
For the cocktails I personally stick to beer but some of my friends had cocktails and told me they were excellent and match any high end bars. They also have a good spirits selection and you can tell by looking at them work that the bartenders are well trained and know how to properly mix drinks.
Meeting with friends at the bar or taking a date to the lounge area, this is a place that will give you different possibilities on how to spend your evening. I personally like it has a rally point before a night out.
