Hiking: Mont Kaaikop Interval Loop

This is a 11.9 km hike with 508 m of elevation gain located at Interval Cooperative near Sainte Lucie des Laurentide and St-Donat. The drive from Montreal is about 1h50 min. The cost of entry is 10$ for adults and you get your tickets at the welcome center of the Interval.

The hike is hard it starts with an incline of 325m over 2.7 km that takes you to the summit of Mont Kaaikop. The views from the summit are awesome but the first view point is not the only one, couple of 100 m further there’s another one that gives you another perspective.

There are several other trails all with different difficulty levels you can build your own hikes depending of your experience.

The trails are pretty clear and clean but the first 3km are steep and very rocky. I recommend hiking boots if you have them but it’s very doable with trail shoes as well.
