About a month back I went for diner with a friend of mine at Icehouse. I had heard good things about this South West / Tex Mex restaurant. The first thing you need to know is that the place is very small, don’t go there if you’re starved and not ready to wait a little bit. In the summer there’s a terrasse and it gives more sitting room but the whole place probably sits a maximum of 30 people inside. If you are willing to wait a little bit, you’ll be glad because the food is really worth it. We’ve shared some dishes to make sure we could taste a few things on the menu, but it was hard to choose cause everything looked good.
If you’re looking for fancy presentation this is not the place for you either. It’s unpretentious comfort food and it’s served in a way to make you feel that way too, I didn’t have them but the wings as served straight on the table on a wax paper. We started with an order of mahi-mahi soft tacos, an order of beef hard shell tacos and a grilled chicken burrito. Food was excellent service was pretty fast too. It’s not an expensive place but it’s not cheap either, price is well balanced with the quality of the food you’re getting. Overall really liked my experience and will surely go there again.
