Le Richmond Marché Italien

I went for brunch with some friends and as we were looking for a new place to try and were in the Griffintown area we decided to try Le Richmond Marché Italien. As many restaurants are doing these days, this is a Bistro-Boutique, so you can stay and eat there or just go in for a little shopping.

I have to say that they have quite a selection of products in store. They mention on their website that they have over 60 fresh foods items and that the market counts more than 2000 products imported from Italy as well as local gems. I went around the store after brunch so I didn’t try some of the foods that were there to taste but they all looked good and fresh.

As for brunch they have a pretty good selection, I personally went for the Duck Confit Poached eggs on homemade focaccia bread, cheddar aged 5 years, Hollandaise sauce, fried potatoes with Parmesan and arugula. I was very happy with my choice as there was not too much Hollandaise sauce and I could really taste the duck. I hate it when restaurants just cover all the taste with too much sauce.

One of my friend went for LE MARCHÉ’S BREAKFAST 2 eggs, homemade porchetta, fried potatoes with Parmesan, toast and fresh fruit while my other friend who has more of a soft spot for sweets went with BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST Homemade tiramisu cream, maple syrup and fresh fruit.

We were all very happy with our choices and everything tasted great. I also have to give them a thumbs up for their coffee which was great. It’s a cool place also to just hang out and enjoy a coffee.

They are open from 8am to 10pm everyday, but the bistro opens at 11am. But they also have a take-out counter with some Viennoiserie and coffee and a selection of 50 items to choose from such as fresh salads, sandwiches and some signature dishes.
