Snowshoeing: Sentier de la Roche – La Coulée Loop

Version Francaise

This is a 7.8 km loop hike located in Mont-Tremblant National Park with a 356 meters elevation gain. The drive from Montreal is 2hrs . The cost is 8.75$ if you don’t have a SEPAQ Anual Card. This trail is located in the Toit des Laurentide/ Le Centenaire section at the La Diable welcome center.

The hike is moderate, but it starts right away with a climb that goes on for 3km where you’ll get all of your elevation gain. The view point right after that climb is awesome. Beware of the stairs they are really slippery, I kept my snowshoes and when besides them but everyone that took the stairs went down. The trail is also well marked and there are signs at every crossroads. The whole trail could have been done with spikes only but the La Coulée portion was not as hard pack, snowshoes really came handy.

There’s a lot of trails to choose to in Mont Tremblant but for a great view on a trail under 10km that is a really nice one to do. The bathroom in discovery center next to the parking lot where the trail starts is also open. There’s also a few tables for having lunch an outdoor fireplace with a couple of Adirondack chairs to chill around the fireplace.
