Ribs, pulled pork, chicken, individually they are good but combined they are awesome. That’s why after a long time coming I had to order from Le Boucan and try their BBQ. I had only heard good things of the restaurant and was craving for good BBQ.
Call it FOMO or plain old gluttony I wanted to try everything on the menu. That’s why when I spotted the ”Pitboss” I was delighted. What is the Pittboss? A tray containing half rack ribs, half chicken and pulled pork, with a side of coleslaw, potato salad and fries. To add a cherry on top I ordered the glazed brisket burnt ends too just to make sure I had enough meat.
How was the meal you ask? Honestly the fries and coleslaw were just what they were. Then again I’m not a huge fan of fries. As for the glazed brisket I was expecting more meat and less fat but it was ok. When it comes to the rest of the meal…. delicious! The potato salad had a touch of dill in it that I just loved and that gave an exceptional taste. The chicken was also good, I’m a big fan of smoked food and the chicken was very tasty. The pulled pork was also very good but when it came to the ribs that was the game changer for me. I’ve had ribs all over the US and where BBQ was born but I have to give it to them those ribs are the best ones I’ve had in Montreal. Fall of the bone so even on a date you won’t have to get your hands and face covered in sauce, fork and knife will do the job to clean off the bone. Fall of the bone but also juicy and tender, combined with the smoked taste that I love…that’s what makes the whole difference and why I really liked them (ordered them a second time since then).
I’m at the rare point where I’m getting hungry just writing about it. I’ll let you be the judge if you try it out let me know what you thought about it. You can order on their website Le Boucan.
