Take-Out: QDC Burgers

If you’re a Montrealer and a Steak person you’ve heard from La Queue de Cheval Steakhouse for sure. QDC Burgers first location was open in 1998 in the back alley behind the restaurant by the same founder. Now they have 3 locations, Downtown on Mountain, at the Airport and the one I ordered from in the Mile End. Their website does mention other locations to open in spring 2021 in Old Montreal, Griffintown, Monkland Village and many more.

I ordered the Surf & Turf a great combination of beef, spicy shrimp, caramelized onions, garlic aioli, arugula and tomato chutney. It was a very tasty burger that was spicy but not enough to overpower the other tastes. There was a lot in the burger and if you don’t cut it in half you will have your hands full make sure to have lots of napkins.

Sometimes one burger just doesn’t seem to be enough but it was a good portion. I had a side of fries and that was enough to fill me up. Overall the mixed of spicy shrimps and beef was a winner and it was a good quality burger for one of those evenings where you feel like having more than just a regular burger.
