On May 31, I was invited by Six Pints Specialty Beer Company who held a private and exclusive event at Brasserie at La Cage Brasserie Sportive in Boucherville in order to promote their 2 craft breweries: Creemore Springs and Granville Island.
The ultimate goal was to live a beer experience showcasing mainly both craft breweries Creemore Springs and Granville Island; among others, 250 various La Cage Brasserie Sportive operators of Québec were present. In total, 10 different beers were presented with a food pairing menu developed by Louis-François Marcotte. From the beers presented two beers from the Creemore Springs brewery , the Premium Lager and Kölsch were offered. Two beers, a Porter and a Witbier were served from Batch (bistro-brewry located downtown Toronto, created by Creemore Springs during the last year). Four beers from Granville Island Brewing, the English Bay Pale Ale, False Creek Raspberry Ale, and two other beers from Granville Island that are strictly available in Western Canada, the IPA New Zealand and Kellerbier. Finally, to highlight the recent partnership agreement with Brasseur de Montreal, two beers from this brewery were served the Griffintown and the London Ruby.
I had a chance to try the beers and food and it was a great experience here’s some pictures of the food and beers that were paired for the evening :

Those beers were pretty good and I have to say that the new menu at La Cage Brasserie Sportive is also an improvement to my taste to the previous one.
The evening was a resounding success thanks to the presence of over 550 participants. At the exit, a gift box was provided to all guests including a Six Pints craft beer and glass. Taxi coupons were given to guests to encourage a safe return home. Comments and reactions of participants were very positive, and all greatly appreciated the experience offered by Six Pints at this exclusive event.
