I have been to La Société many times for brunch but I had never tried it for lunch. I decided to try it and headed there with a friend on a Tuesday for diner. We had a reservation but the place is relatively quiet during the week. After a cocktail and looking at the menu we ordered a bottle of wine that we had there before and that we particularly enjoyed. Unfortunately they were out of stock but fortunately for us our waiter knew his wines and suggested a Picpoul De Pinet 2014 based on our previous choice that was excellent and a nice new discovery. Moving on to diner we picked our main course but let the staff pick out the sides and appetizers.
The menu consisted of oysters, arctic shrimps, Pan con tomate y jamon which was prepared with charred homemade bread, tomato, garlic, Bayonne, red eye mayo and followed with a dish of clams, potato, Jagerwurst. As for our main course I had the Dorade and my friend had a generous portion of magret the canard. As always I was a very pleasant experience both for our taste buds and ourselves.
