Since it had open I wanted to go try this restaurant that is located on Bernard corner du Parc.  I’m a fan of seafood and fish and the menu greeted me with a nice a variety of dishes. I was with a friend and we decided to try some different dishes.

We started with the smoke fish platter, they do by the way the smoking themselves. The platter consisted of a filet of salmon in a curry and maple syrup sauce, some gravlax served with  , smoke mackerel toped with pickles and a nice shrimp mousse. My favorite to my surprise was actually the mackerel which actually had more the texture of meat than fish.
We then had some confit Albacore Tuna, I just love tuna and this was actually quite delicious served with Creme fraiche. I then ordered the scallops and sweetbreads served with lardons, celeriac, green beans on a bed of Dupuy lentils. My friend ordered the grilled octopus served with Brussels sprouts, Jerusalem artichokes and pickles served with a bourbon BBQ sauce. I have to give it to whoever thought that recipe up, that sauce and grilled octopus totally work. The plates are between appetizers and entree sizes and are meant to be shared.

The restaurant has about 40 seats including the ones at the bar, which if you read me often know is my favorite spots to sit at in restaurants. Aside from the dining room area they also have a shell counter which varies from fresh arrivals and the chef’s inspiration. To give you an idea they offer when it’s fresh you might find some oysters, razor shell clam, crab, lobster, shrimps, clams or sea urchin.

The restaurant also offers a lunch menu, you can pick the table d’Hote that changes regularly and that they offer for 20$ or you can pick from the regular menu which is served from 11:30am to 11pm. They also offer brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm, the menu changes from time to time and as some items based on fish but they also offer more traditional choices. If you’re a vegetarian note that they always have a vegetarian option on the menu.

I would recommend Pier 66 if you like fish and seafood and do yourself a favor and make a reservation before. They are pretty busy but it’s definitely worth it.
