Take-Out: Le Pegase

This is another restaurant I normally enjoy and that I was craving. Le Pégase is located in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood. It is one of a handfull BYOB that I enjoy. The food is fantastic and they usually have one of my favorite on the menu, Foie Gras Poêlé.

While dining rooms are close this is another restaurant offering two type of take-out or delivery during these times. They offer a pre-prep version of their meal which are cooked sous-vide and that you just have to warm or you can have the ready to eat version but do specify it when you place your order or it will be the pre-prep version by default that you will receive.

I personally went with the pre-prep version as I wanted to make sure the food would be perfectly hot. Their menu is a table d’hote that comes with the soup of the day, your choice or main and dessert. It also come with their mousse de volaille that I’m a super fan of. You can also decide to add an entrée if you choose but it will be an extra.

The meal I chose was the squash potage, the Rack of Lamb with 2 mustard, and the Mourir de Chocolat for dessert. I also added a Foie Gras Torchon to the order just because I have a Foie Gras addiction…

Everything came packed separately and it was pretty easy to warm up and put together. Aside from the dining room experience the food was as good as it normally is so the take-out or delivery option does not affect the experience.
